And we are super excited to be invited to screen in Bulgaria ( where we started filming the movie back in 2012!), as part of SoIndependent Film Festival on Oct. 29 and Nov. 5th.  Details here about the 2 screenings in Sofia (and one at American University in Bulgaria in Blagoevgrad on Nov. 2nd).     Director Melody Gilbert will be at all the screenings in Bulgaria.

Many Bulgarians know about “work & travel” but rarely do they ever see the real story of the experience through the eyes of the students who do this work. Perhaps only those who have been know what it feels like to do those kind of jobs. “The Summer Help” is the first film that shows candidly about the summer workers in the U.S.– before departure and after returning students with the full range of emotions that accompanies this experience.

Special thanks to producer Martichka Bozhilova from Agitprop and Nu Boyana Film Studios for post-production assistance as well as so many of you who helped with making this film by contributing to the Crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

Looking forward to finally sharing this film with our Bulgarian friends!
